  1. Complete waste of money and time

    I wish I could give this course zero stars. I’ve purchased it when it was on offer for £10 and it wasn’t worth it. If I’d pay the full price of £249 they are charging, I would be absolutely furious. Well, where do I start?
    The course consists of 3 parts. Part 1 looks like a guidance brochure written for officers working in a planning department who are supposed to deal with various development proposals. So it won’t teach you how to be a property developer – far from it! If you think it will help you to earn even £1 from property development – forget it. It’s a lengthy (about 70 pages) and an extremely boring description of what developers do. About half of it is about how to value the land (the answer: “It’s difficult and we won’t teach you to do it. Even if you manage to get a figure, it’s likely to be wring anyway”). It’s written by an unknown author who constantly refers to his website for additional info, links, further reading etc. When I checked this website it turned out to be a cash generator buying and selling second hand goods! What does it say about credibility of the writer?

    Parts 2 and 3 are even worse. I don’t know how a reputable company could sell such a product to clients. You can do each part in about 30 mins (during your coffee break) as each “module” consists of the following elements: a large picture of a construction site, about half a page of badly written text (common sense at best), and sometimes a link to a youtube video by some random “property guru” which you could easily found yourself. Many “modules” are not even written properly and are simply a set of bullet points. Both parts refer to Australian and American markets so wouldn’t be suitable for a British investor. Quality of information? You would get better in any £3 property magazine. For example: in a module about buying your first property the whole advise is to “think what house you’d like to buy (how many bedrooms, where it’s located)” and “make sure you can afford it”. Really? Do I have to pay £249 to be taught this??? Half of parts 2 and 3 is about buying waterfront properties. Authors seem to be obsessed about living by waterfront for some reasons (no, there is no info on why it could be more profitable than any other type of property, don’t even dream about it).

    Exams are a complete joke too. I’ve passed them after only reading the first module “introduction to real estate”. This should tell you a lot about the quality of teaching material in this course.

    My advise – don’t waste your time and money. Go and buy any relevant book on amazon (check reviews first), you will get much more from it.
