Very simplified and user friendly interface. Highly recommended!

    2. brilliant course

      5

If I could give this course more than 5 stars I would. It was really good and helpful and it has taught me a lot about taking photos and about my camera.

My camera I have had for 5+years and only learnt through here that I had a firework setting, which I used and took some amazing firework photo this year.

When I am out and about now I see new things that will look good as photos

Well done to these 3 who taught this course. The only downside was I could not send in my photos for the activity sections and no links for further reading, But this is minor things and does not affect the course at all

    3. Louis Black

      5

Brilliant content! I learned so many advanced photography tips and techniques.

    4. Paige Gibson

Quite informative and engaging course. It was fun doing the course and got advanced photography skills with a CPD accredited certificate. I will take more courses on this platform.

    5. Brilliant course

      5

Thanks to all 3 of you – an excellent and very useful course. I have been taking photographs for 56 years but still found a lot of interesting ideas and new information.
May I make 2 small suggestions?
      1. In the editing classes it was quite difficult to see the writing on the computer screen – perhaps it could somehow be enlarged?
2.It would be useful to be able to skip one or 2 of the sections if they are not relevant (ie the Mac Photo section, if you’re a PC user.) At present you have to go into each lesson and mark it complete, before you can finish the course.)
I am hoping that I will be able to access the course again after I have “completed” it – it would be very useful to be able to dip into it from time to time as a reminder.
Thanks again to all of you – and I hope you are keeping safe during this coronavirus pandemic.

Initially I couldn’t access the course. The problem was solved the next day. Hope Janets will be concerned and help the students have a better experience.

    7. Bailey Hyde

Janets has a wide variety of courses. I took this photography course along with an Illustrator course and found it very impressive.

What are the Two Types of Digital Photography?

Digital photography typically falls into two broad categories: 1. Still Digital Photography: Capturing single, static images. 2. Digital Video Photography: Recording moving images as digital video files.

    What Do Digital Photographers Do?

Digital photographers capture images using digital cameras, manipulating light and shadows to create photos. They often manage the post-processing of these images on computers using software like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to enhance or alter them.

    Why is Digital Photography Useful?

Digital photography offers several advantages: 1. Immediate Review: Images can be viewed instantly. 2. Editing Flexibility: Digital images can be easily edited and manipulated. 3. Cost Efficiency: No need for film or processing costs. 4. High Storage Capacity: Thousands of photos can be stored on a single device. 5. Sharing Capability: Digital photos can be shared instantly across various platforms.

What is Digital Photography vs Photography?

While "photography" traditionally refers to creating images using light-sensitive materials like film, "digital photography" uses digital technology to capture and process images electronically. Digital photography offers instant feedback and extensive post-processing capabilities, unlike traditional film photography.

    What is Called Digital Photography?

Digital photography refers to the process of capturing photographs where images are recorded electronically by a camera's sensor instead of using film. The images are stored as digital files.

    Is Digital Photography a Job?

Yes, digital photography can be a professional career. Many digital photographers work freelance, some are employed by studios, agencies, or media companies, and others run their own businesses offering various photography services.

How to Make a Digital Photo?

To create a digital photo: 1. Use a Digital Camera: Capture the image using a digital camera. 2. Transfer to a Computer: Download the digital files to a computer. 3. Edit: Use photo editing software to enhance or alter the image. 4. Save and Share: Save the edited files and share or print as needed.

    Is Digital Better Than Film?

Whether digital is better than film depends on the context and personal preference. Digital offers convenience, flexibility, and cost efficiency. Film provides unique aesthetic qualities, higher dynamic range, and the discipline of limited exposures.

What are the Characteristics of Digital Photography?

Characteristics of digital photography include: 1. Resolution: Determined by the number of pixels in an image. 2. Instant Feedback: Ability to view images immediately after capture. 3. Editing: Extensive editing options without degradation of image quality. 4. Storage: Ability to store and manage images digitally.

    How is Digital Photography Done?

Digital photography involves capturing images using a digital camera that records light onto an electronic sensor. These images are then processed and stored as digital files, which can be edited, printed, or shared electronically.

    How Do Digital Images Work?

Digital images are made up of pixels, small squares that represent the smallest unit of a digital image. Each pixel stores information about color and brightness, which collectively create the complete image when viewed on digital displays.

    Are Phones Digital Cameras?

Yes, modern smartphones are equipped with built-in digital cameras. They use sophisticated sensors and lenses to capture high-quality images and often provide many of the same functionalities as dedicated digital cameras.

Which Camera is Best for Photography?

The best camera for photography depends on your needs and budget. DSLRs and mirrorless cameras are popular for their image quality and versatility. Brands like Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Fujifilm offer excellent options across various price ranges.
